The Mont Moondance 1FN has 25% more internal floor area than the average 1 person tent. A 10.2 inches (26cm) wide 86.6 inches (220cm) long triangular expansion opposite the doorway provides waterproof internal space for your clothes, pack & accessories. Totalling 24.87ft2 (2.31m2) of internal floor space makes the Moondance 1 an incredibly spacious 1 person tent. Steep walls at either end and a wide ridge pole across the roof provide a spacious interior ideal for waiting out poor weather in comfort.
With a Full Nylon interior the Moondance 1FN allows you greater protection, particularly in cold and wintery conditions. Ultralight 20 denier rip-stop Nylon provides greater insulation in colder conditions, more protection from condensation coming off the fly, and prevents wind-blown snow coming in if the weather really turns on you.
Mont Tents are sold fully seam sealed, waterproof and ready for rain straight out of the box. There is no need to seam seal your new Mont tent.

Mont Adventure Equipment is an Australian company known for making high-performance gear for demanding alpine conditions, with a focus on low weight, precise design, and reliable materials. The Moondance 1 Tent is a clear example of that design philosophy.
Think of the Moondance 1 FN Tent as a three-season-plus version of the standard Moondance 1. The key difference is the full-height 20 D nylon inner, which offers greater insulation, wind protection, and reduced internal condensation in cold and damp conditions. It adds to the total weight, but the increase in comfort and shelter performance in exposed terrain is noticeable.
This freestanding tent offers 2.31 m² of internal floor space, with generous headroom and a foot-end expansion that boosts liveability. The internal vestibule keeps gear accessible without crowding the sleeping area. A three-point guying system at both ends improves stability with fewer stakes.
The waterproof floor (25,000 mm+) and taped seams continue to perform well in sustained wet conditions. The roof vent can be fully or partially opened from inside the tent, making it easy to regulate airflow without leaving your sleeping area, and the DAC Featherlite poles make setup fast and intuitive.
