Our Verdict
At 267g (Medium), the Storm Cruiser delivers full 3-layer waterproof performance in a design that feels light and highly functional. The Super Dry-Tec membrane achieves 20,000mm hydrostatic head and strong breathability, keeping internal moisture well managed during long climbs in wet weather. The 30-denier Ballistic nylon face fabric feels robust for its weight, with a smooth handle and noticeably quieter movement than many comparable shells.
The fit is trim yet leaves room for a mid-layer. The hood adjusts securely around the face and crown, offering good coverage without restricting visibility, while the pit zips are long enough to vent heat efficiently on steep ascents. Hand pockets sit high enough to stay accessible under a pack belt, and the minimal seam layout enhances both comfort and weather resistance.
Overall, the Storm Cruiser feels well-engineered for fast-moving, all-weather mountain use.
