Our Verdict
The Gossamer Gear Little Sit Pad weighs 49g and folds down small enough to slip into a side pocket or pack lid. Made from closed-cell foam, it provides a firm yet comfortable layer of insulation on rough or damp ground. The folding design allows it to be “doubled over” for added cushioning if you're just making a quick stop. The photos don't do justice to the fact that this can be folded into something that fits into the palm of your hand.
The foam holds up well under repeated use. Beyond seating, it can double as back support inside a frameless pack. For such a compact piece of kit, it adds practical versatility to a lightweight setup.
