Our Verdict
The lightweight Merino Balaclava is very soft and incredibly comfortable to wear. It’s a brilliant additional layer in cold weather. It's suitable for skiing and hiking in cold weather but also good to use when you are not that active outside. As a glasses user, I'm often put off by balaclava as your breath will eventually fog up your glasses (or ski goggles), but the vents let breath and moisture out quite efficiently, though I still got a little fog, but that is to be expected.
As it's made of Marino wool, it's very breathable and helps move moisture away from your skin, so if you are working hard, you are not getting too sweaty. The soft fibres feel nice and comfortable against your skin, and I could happily wear this all day without it becoming irritating.
