Compact, rugged and confidence-inspiring, the latest Jannu poles from LEKI blend precise control with a dependable build that suits a wide range of terrain.
Leki says:
The Jannu offers the full range of features: comfortable AERGON CorTec grip, Speed Lock+ adjustment system for the easiest length adjustment and lightweight tubes made of high-strength aluminum. An absolute all-rounder with enormous stability reserves.
Do not use the cane(s) as a walking aid in accordance with DIN EN 1985. Poles intended exclusively for trekking, cross-trail, trail running and Nordic walking may not be used for skiing.
Our Verdict
At 252g per pole, the Jannu isn’t trying to be the lightest in its class, but it hits a sweet spot for durability and usability. The HTS aluminium construction feels strong without being clunky, and the Speed Lock Plus system is quick to adjust mid-trail with no fuss. I found the compact Aergon grips to be exceptionally comfortable on longer outings, especially for those with smaller hands or those who prefer a narrower handle. The cork blend provides a good grip, even when damp, and the wrist straps are breathable and easy to adjust on the move.
