Our Verdict
Mountain Equipment's Ibex Pro Pants are an adaptation of the hugely successful Ibex trouser. The durable Exolite 250 fabric is comfortable, breathable and offers a good amount of stretch whilst also offering a good level of warmth, staving off winds, rain and snow and being more than strong enough for the odd rocky run in on a scramble. The thigh vents allow for quick temperature release and more control.
In terms of extra features whilst lacking in ankle zips they do have adjustable poppers for a range of boot fittings, integrated lace hooks and silicone grips on the ankle, 4 sizeable zip pockets and two open pockets for plenty of quick access and storage, a gusset crotch and two way fly making these a formidable contender in the trekking pant market.
