Our Verdict
The Sunslice Fusion Flex 18 Portable Solar Panel provides 18 watts of portable energy. Weighing 376g, it remains lightweight enough to carry comfortably yet powerful enough to charge most small devices in less than two hours of sunlight. Its flexible CIGS solar cells, coated with a scratch-resistant and water-resistant layer, are as robust as they are effective, making the panel an ideal choice for rough, unpredictable outdoor conditions.
Using a similar Sunslice model (the two-panelled version), I found it best when paired with a power bank to store solar energy throughout the day. By evening, there was always enough power to charge my phone, watch, and satellite communicator. The Fusion Flex 18’s thoughtful design includes carabiners and elastic bands, making it easy to attach to backpacks, tents, or bikes for optimal exposure.
