Our Verdict
The Jetboil Flash 1L Fast Boil System has seen a few thoughtful updates for 2024, making an already efficient stove even easier to use. The redesigned ignition now works with a simple turn-and-click, feeling much more like a home stove. I also appreciate the new three-point locking mechanism between pot and burner, which adds a reassuring sense of stability when everything’s hot and full. The textured grip zone is a nice touch, making it easier to handle the pot safely.
Everything still nests neatly inside the 1-litre pot—including the burner, stabiliser, and a 100g gas canister—keeping things compact in the pack. The cosy retains the thermochromatic heat indicator, which turns colour as the water approaches boiling—a useful visual cue that helps save fuel. Boiling 500ml takes around 100–120 seconds, so it’s ideal for dehydrated meals or a quick coffee stop.
While it’s brilliant for rapid boils, it’s not designed for simmering more delicate meals. But if hot water’s your priority, it’s dependable, fast, and simple to operate even with cold fingers.
