Comfortable, breathable, and tough where it counts, these gaiters are well suited to fast-moving days on dry trails.
Outdoor Research says:
The Ferrosi Trail Gaiters feature an updated design and iconic Ferrosi performance, providing lightweight, breathable, and weather-resistant debris protection.
Our Verdict
The updated Ferrosi Trail Gaiters feel refined without losing the simplicity that makes them effective. At 65g (medium), they’re lightweight enough to disappear once on, but still hold their shape well with the new stretch hem and top cinch. I found the fit noticeably improved, secure around the ankle with minimal movement. The fabric dries fast and offers good abrasion resistance, while the Hypalon strap feels like it’ll last a while. I like the offset closure and left-right shaping, which helps get them on quickly.
They’re not built for bogs or slushy days, but they do the job of keeping grit, grass seeds, and dry trail debris out with zero fuss.
