Our Verdict
At 276g in Medium, they strike a strong balance between durability and agility. The fabric’s generous stretch and articulated fit make them ideal for steep scrambles and long climbs, while ripstop reinforcements hold up well against rough rock and overgrown paths. The waistband stays put without constant adjustment, and the leg pocket is ideally placed to remain accessible with a harness. Breathability is solid, though I’d prefer a touch more ventilation in warmer weather. Fit-wise, they lean athletic—great for freedom of movement, though I’d consider sizing up if you’re after a roomier cut.
