Our Verdict
At just 99g, the Cloud 9 is the perfect addition to any sleep system. It inflates quickly, holds air well through the night, and the contoured shape does a decent job supporting the neck without slipping around. The thoughtful inclusion of a shock cord to secure it to a sleeping mat is a nice and often-overlooked feature that prevents the usual night-time hunt for a runaway pillow.
The fabric feels decent against the skin, not clammy or crinkly, and the silicone beads underneath offer a bit of grip without sticking awkwardly. While it’s not quite as plush as foam-topped options, it’s a solid step up from basic inflatables for ultralight travel. The packed size is tiny, easily slipping into a side pocket, and the valve system allows for precise adjustments mid-use without leaking.
