Our Verdict
A brilliant Belt Pack for fast paced hikes, scrambles and trail runs. The Aeon LT 5 Belt is designed to keep the minimal gear you need close to hand.
The Aeon LT5l belts utilise a tough 70D x 140D Nylon coated with a TriShield DWR that helps the pack shrug off light rain, sleet and snow. Rab has used their famous Air Contour cushioning on the belt pack, which will help keep you comfortable, encouraging air to circular between you and the pack, which helps keep you cool.
I like the offset buckle, which is kept away from the skin and reduces irritation when wearing the pack all day; it's a strong and secure fastening you can have confidence in.
The pack has two half-size pockets rather than one huge one, which helps you to organise gear. Still, it does impact the pack's ability to carry larger items, such as bulkier waterproofs, but consideration to webbing points has been made so you can still store these items on the outside of the pack. I love the stretch mesh pockets, perfect for storing snacks and gels.
