This updated version of the popular Aconcagua sees a change of fabrics resulting in a lower weight without a lose of quality or performance. It is still a comfortable and technical mid layer you'll be happy to wear all day on and off a mountain.

The Light version of our classic is perfect for outdoor summer activities and those in-between seasons. The premium fleece made of Polartec® Power Grid™ material is light, incredibly soft and super comfortable on the skin. The patented waffle structure offers an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio and keeps the jacket extra breathable. It also dries quickly and packs down small. The Aconcagua Light Hoody can be worn on its own or as a mid-layer when mountaineering, climbing, ski touring or hiking. The tight-fitting cut makes it easy to wear under a hardshell or insulated jacket. The hood also has a tight fit and can be worn easily under a helmet. Out in the mountains or going about your daily business, the Aconcagua Light is versatile, functional and stylish.
Our Verdict
A streamlined mid layer designed to keep you comfortable when on the move. The jacket is quite a slim fit but stretchy and very soft on the skin. This jacket is light on features to keep the weight down. There is a single small chest pocket. There is no adjustment on the cuffs, waist or hood. This stripped back design is ideal for layering and keeping the weight and packsize to a minimum.
The most recent update has seen a switch to a new fabric and with a ribbed design to allow more effective temperature regulation when hot or cold. It is comfortable, looks great and actively wicks moisture away when you start to heat up. This is a Bluesign certified product meaning it has been manufactured in a sustainable way limiting the impact on the environment where possible.
