The fabric is well ventilated, dries fast and does not take much space when packed – practical for trekking in the summer mountains or in warmer climates. Regular fit with a mid waist that is a little higher at the back so the shorts sit comfortably when carrying a backpack.
Our Verdict
The Abisko Lite Shorts strike a practical balance between toughness and comfort. They're not the lightest at 286g (medium), but the stretch fabric breathes well and dries fast, making them a solid choice for summer trails. The slightly raised rear waistband is thoughtful—it sits neatly under a pack and helps the shorts stay in place when climbing or bending.
I found the fit relaxed but not baggy, with plenty of mobility through the hips. Pocket layout is straightforward: two deep hand pockets, a zip thigh pocket with an internal phone sleeve, and a rear zip pocket for valuables. It’s all flat and low-profile, so nothing feels bulky when moving quickly.Well-ventilated and reliably built, these are a good option if you value functional design over flash.
