Patagonia says:
First released in 1995 and designed specifically for Patagonia's then-new surf category, our oval logo would later show up on everything from hats to fleece. We've screen-printed it on the Men's '95 Oval Logo Uprisal Crew Sweatshirt, a soft, durable crewneck with rib-knit side panels, cuffs and hem. It's made with a blend of preconsumer and postconsumer recycled materials. By utilizing fabric scraps and recycled bottles, this garment reduces our reliance on virgin raw materials. Made in a Fair Trade Certified™ factory.
Our Verdict
The Patagonia 95 Oval Logo Uprisal Crew Sweatshirt is a warm, well-made layer that suits casual use far more than anything technical or strenuous. It has a soft brushed interior, a roomy fit, and the kind of comfort that works well for everyday wear, travel, or cooler evenings around camp.
The recycled fleece fabric feels durable and substantial, and the ribbed side panels add a bit of flexibility without changing the classic sweatshirt shape. At 523g (Medium), it is clearly a heavier piece, but it holds its shape well and feels built to last through regular use.
