Our Y-Peg is exceptionally strong yet quite lightweight, and its "Y" profile gives both excellent penetration in hard ground and plenty of surface area for reliable hold in softer conditions. Both because of its shape and its durable, hardened aluminum body, the sturdy Y-Peg can be hammered into hard ground. Its bright, gold anodized color makes it easy to see, and an attached string loop provides for easy removal.
Our Verdict
Hilleberg's Y Peg Set are those usually found with their Black Label tents. Being part of this label sets a standard so these Y-shaped pegs are made from hardened aluminium to provide a strong, durable anchor. They come with pre-attached cord which makes them easier to see in long grass and much easier to pull out with cold, wet fingers or with gloves on.
Whether you are replacing lost pegs or after additional pegs for spares or extra guy points this set of 10 pegs is ideal for a range of conditions. They obviously work for beefing up Red Label tents or simply offering a different design with greater purchase on standard V-shaped pegs.
