Our Verdict
At 335g (UK12), it strikes a sensible balance between insulation and breathability, using Rab’s Thermic Soft Stretch fleece with a smooth outer face and a brushed inner that feels comfortable against the skin. The regular fit offers enough room for a base layer without feeling loose or bulky.
The fabric stretches well, allowing free movement during scrambles or steady climbing, and the full-length front zip gives quick ventilation when needed. The two zipped hand-warming pockets are generous in size, and the overlocked seams help the jacket sit comfortably when layered.
Breathability is good for a midweight fleece, making the Covex Jacket suitable for a wide range of walking and climbing conditions where low bulk and reliable warmth are priorities.
