A lightweight, low-profile beanie that blends warmth and protection for high-output winter activities.
Rab says:
Warm, wind-resistant beanie designed to keep your ears warm without bulk, with WINDSTOPPER® Products by GORE-TEX LABS and a wicking fleece lining. Fitting seamlessly under a helmet, it's ideal for climbing, biking, and exposed winter runs.
Our Verdict
Weighing around 30 g, the Rab Windstopper Beanie uses a hybrid design: a windproof Gore-Tex Infinium panel protects the ears, while the crown uses Rab’s Thermic S fleece for breathability and stretch. The fit is close and comfortable under helmets. Warmth is impressive for such a minimal piece, particularly in cold wind where the membrane blocks the chill. Breathability remains reasonable during moderate effort, though prolonged exertion in mild conditions can feel warm. The fabric mix strikes a balance between durability and comfort, with the Windstopper band resisting abrasion from straps or headwear.
