The lightweight Windproof balaclava is comfortable, windproof, and water resistant. It has vents, a nose hole to prevent fogging, and perforations around the ear. It is a comfortable, moisture-wicking layer made of a polyester-polyamide blend.

Our Verdict
The lightweight Windproof balaclava is comfortable to wear, and It utilises Gore-tex’s wind-stopping Infinium to eliminate wind chill and offer additional protection. It is worth noting this Gore-tex is windproof but only water-resistant, so it will do a good job of protecting you from rain, snowdrift and sleet, but it is not waterproof. The windproof balaclava is a brilliant layer suitable for skiing, hiking and winter mountaineering.
As a glasses user, I'm often put off by balaclava as your breath will eventually fog up your glasses (or ski goggles). However, the vents and dedicated nose hole let breath and moisture out efficiently, though I still got a little fog, which is to be expected. There are also perforations around the ear to prevent hearing from impairing.
As the balaclava is made of a polyester-polyamide blend, it has a little give, is comfortable to wear all day long, and does an excellent job of moving moisture from the skin.
The windproof balaclava is a brilliant layer suitable for skiing, hiking and winter mountaineering.
