As the name suggests, this product is built for the wind. Due to its Wind and Water resistant qualities, this cap is designed to keep the heat in and the elements out. Whilst still boasting breathability qualities, this cap is ideally suited for sub 10 degree high intensity efforts. Lightweight in construction, this is the ideal racing and training cap to see you through the roughest part of the season.
Our Verdict
The VAGA Wind Resistant Cap weighs 34 g (Small/Medium) and features a wind-resistant nylon outer that holds up well in breezy conditions. The padded, high-wick headband effectively manages moisture, and the adjustable strap holds well without needing to be re-adjusted. The short peak gives a clear field of view while offering basic shelter from drizzle. Breathability is moderate, so I reach for it most often in cooler conditions rather than during high-output efforts in warmer weather. Construction quality feels solid, while the fabric’s water resistance has proved reliable in light showers, and the overall fit is comfortable with no pressure points.
