Our Verdict
Exped's Universal Sleeping Mat Coupler Kit consists of two sets of straps that can be adjusted to accommodate any size and thickness of mats. Since each strap has two loops (one for each mat) that are joined together, once fitted the two mats will not move apart.
Setting the strap for your size of mat is best done at home before you hit the trail. Its ideal for use with rectangular mats, we've not tried it with mummy shaped mats but we don't think it will work with them.
