Ideal for 2 or even 3 backpackers the 2 litre Trail Lite pot from MSR is a great value option for those wanting high quality cookware when backpacking.

Our Verdict
The 2 Litre Trail Lite Pot from MSR is a tall pot, with the same footprint as the 1.3 litre pot. I was easily able to get both versions of the Pocket Rocket & Pocket Rocket Deluxe in there with a gas canister, lid closed and the handle folded over.
The taller 2 litre pot I think is easier to pack than the squatter 2 litre pots that you normally find, but the downside of this was balancing the pot when doing my cooking. Granted when filled with water or whatever food I was cooking it was stable, just take a little more care to find a level spot when heating your food and/or water.
Speaking of the handle it is permanently attached, unlike the ‘Talon’ handle found on the ceramic range which can be detached and swapped between pots. The Trail lite handle is still very solid when in use and folds away easily when packed away.
At almost half the price of the ceramic pot range, the Trail Lite range from MSR is a great deal for beginner backpackers, or someone just needing some new pots.
