Our Verdict
I love how quick these are to put on; opening the zip on either side of the trousers entirely means you can quickly step into these regardless of your footwear. I will say however, they missed a trick not having dual zips on the side; this would mean the trousers can be fully open to quickly put them on, but also that you can half close them to keep out the rain and create ventilation into the trouser.
They are made from a durable 50-denier nylon ripstop, so they are tough enough to withstand most abrasions while scrambling over rocks.
The trousers have a good fit and can be cinched in with a drawcord around the waist; the articulated knees and off-set seam lines mean these fit more like “real” trousers, not an over trouser shell.
