Our Verdict
The Gossamer Gear Pole Set, for their popular The One and The Two shelter systems, is a quality option for ultralight backpackers who want the headroom of a trekking pole tent but wish to avoid carrying trekking poles. At 86 grams per pole, the aluminium construction keeps the weight very low without sacrificing durability. The 125cm length works well for pitching the shelters in most conditions.
The poles are set up quickly with the grommet attachments on the shelters. While more sturdy than Trekking poles, they get the job done. The push-button height adjustment lets you tweak the tension.
