The Talus Trail Shorts are built with a lightweight, quick drying Matrix Aero stretch fabric and a close-fitting, supportive Flexile 100 liner short. They feature a comfy, deep waistband and a host of cleverly positioned pockets, so you can keep essentials close at hand on the move.

The outer short is made from Matrix™ Aero, our lightest weight Matrix fabric with a featherweight feel and super-fast dry time. They have a deep, stretch waistband for maximum comfort and stitch-free hems to eliminate rubbing during long runs. Keep on moving with a host of tactical pockets for stashing essentials close at hand, like keys, card, snack or phone. The front waistband has a simple stash pocket, there is a pocket on each leg, that will easily fit a phone, and a secure, zipped back pocket, so you can ditch the backpack on shorter runs. Perfect for mountain days, running or fast-hiking over technical terrain.
Our Verdict
The Talus Trail shorts are the middle sibling of the Talus range that are a combination of features from the Ultra and standard Tauls as they are very light and breathable but also offer some good storage space.
The Light weigh version of the Matrix fabric makes these a very comfortable and breathable short, that are great for high and low level runs. The addition of the rear pocket which is suitable for smaller phones and gels, as well as the hand front stretch pocket, means that you can carry quite a lot with you for longer distance runs.
the waist band is particularly comfortable which can sometimes be an issue on running shorts, with absolutely no rubbing, chafing or pressure marks left due to the seam less band and minimum stitching lines.
