Our Verdict
At 225g (Medium), the Super Dry-Tec Full Zip Rain Pants use Montbell’s 3-layer waterproof fabric with a 30-denier Ballistic nylon ripstop face, giving a solid mix of weather resistance, comfort and durability for their weight. The full-length side zips make them quick to put on over boots and help with venting, while the articulated knees ensure unrestricted movement.
Breathability is excellent, keeping internal moisture well managed during active use. The waterproofing remains consistent even in sustained rain, and the fit is trim yet accommodating, with effective ankle and waist adjustments to seal out wind and rain.
For efficient layering, reliable waterproofing and high mobility, these trousers are a strong, well-engineered option.
