The Sealskinz Starston is a reliable option for those braving wet, cold conditions on the trail. These mid-length socks combine full waterproofing with Merino wool's warmth and moisture-wicking properties, making them an excellent choice for winter hikes or wet-weather excursions. Weighing 123g for a medium, they balance comfort and protection without feeling overly bulky.
The Merino wool lining offers great temperature regulation, keeping feet warm without overheating. The padded footbed absorbs shock and reduces pressure on long hikes. The four-way stretch and zonal elastication ensure a snug fit, and the anti-blister design is a welcome feature for preventing rubbing on extended walks.
