The Scarpa Ribelle Lite HD is the little brother of the Ribelle Tech 2.0 HD Boots. A lightweight solution for those seeking innovation, lightness and a fast and comfortable boot.

The Ribelle family a next generation of mountaineering boots designed to allow people to move faster than conventional mountain boots. Core to this is the new ARG last shape, which has low volume technical precision, but with a noticeable toe spring, giving a much more natural and fluid gait. This is married to the Pentax Precision Roll sole which has a technical Vibram outsole with bi-density PU cushioning, giving a much more natural feel and walking motion.
The upper of the Ribelle Lite is a lightweight microtech fabric with a direct lamination H-Dry membrane: fully waterproof and highly breathable, without absorbing water. The sock fit tongue works with the lightweight lacing system to give a snug, instant fit. The upper (and the midsole) are wrapped in a PU Tech layer that offers excellent abrasion resistance without adding anywhere near the weight of a conventional rubber rand.
Our Verdict
Scarpa's Ribelle Lite HD is the little brother of the Ribelle Tech 2.0 HD boots. A lightweight solution for those seeking innovation, lightness and a fast and comfortable boot. The style and design of the Ribelle is definitely like Marmite, given that you either love them or hate them, but these are very innovative in a lot of different ways.
One of the main features of the boot is the integration of the H-Dry waterproof, breathable technology, together with the Sock-Fit construction which is exclusive to Scarpa. The H-Dry membrane is laminated to the inside of the upper, so there's no gap in between the upper and the membrane where the water could seep in.
They're a very light boot and would suitable for classic alpinism.
