Our Verdict
The Cocoon Packing Cubes Ultralight is a tidy solution for compartmentalising gear on the trail or in transit. Made from 20D hex ripstop nylon with a mesh top panel, they’re extremely light—my large cube weighs just 55g—but still hold their shape well. The three available sizes (small, medium, large) nest neatly together, which I found handy when shifting things around in a rucksack with an awkward internal layout.
The mesh top is useful, letting me see what’s inside without rummaging. The zip tracks cleanly, even when I’ve slightly overstuffed it, and the fabric feels tougher than the weight might suggest.
