Our Verdict
The Övik Travel Shirt LS from Fjällräven is one of those perfect pieces when the pace is steady, the sun is out, and I’m more concerned with comfort than outright performance. At 301g (size M), it’s not ultralight, but the hemp and recycled polyester blend gives it a soft, airy feel and a pleasingly natural texture. The fabric doesn’t cling, even when it’s hot, and its loose fit combined with the slightly coarse weave allows air to move freely across the skin. I like the practicality of the buttoned chest pockets and sleeve tabs—they’re functional but straightforward. It’s not technical—there’s no moisture management or UPF claim—but the hemp blend feels clean and resists odour surprisingly well, which I appreciate. It’s best suited to travel, rest days, and slower trails in warm climates, where you want something unfussy, durable, and comfortable for long hours on foot.
