The Oppland is an impressively spacious tent with a classic design. It's amazing how Nordisk have kept such a low weight with such a large inner and vestibule. It makes this a great option for a versatile tunnel tent.

The Oppland 3 LW is a highly versatile and spacious tent, weighing just 1.98kg. The inner width of 190cm makes it one of the widest 3 person tents on the market with plenty of space for three, plus room for storage, cooking and living in the large porch. It is easy to pitch and has an aerodynamic tunnel construction providing excellent strength. The Oppland 3 has a large vent at each end of the tent and with one door, it offers a variety of possibilities for optimal ventilation and a great indoor climate. It has concealed pole channels, DAC poles and Dyneema guy ropes.
Our Verdict
Nordisk's Oppland 3 LW Tent on the classic tunnel tent design with a three pole set up. These three poles are particularly stable in higher winds while still allowing lots of internal space. This model has a large inner cabin and huge vestibule that makes it much more enjoyable to use in poor conditions. The tent pitches in one with the inner already attached, this is a real bonus in wet conditions. The inner cabin is spacious enough for three plus kit. The vestibule is huge and certainly provides enough space to store kit, cook or simply shelter under when the weather isn't great.
The tent uses super lightweight, 10D silicone treated nylon for the fly sheet combined with a thicker 20D PU coated floor. This is one of the main factors that have allowed Nordisk to keep the weight down to a minimum. It is a great option if you are heading out into the wild with a couple of other people as you get a super light but spacious shelter. However, if you are going to be pitching it on hard or rocky ground I would recommend a footprint as durability is sacrificed somewhat for the light weight.
