Quick fit crampons made by an elastomer interconnected to a tread stainless steel structure under the shoes realized through a combination of chain elements, connectors and crampon plate. The crampons allow you to move in perfect safety on the snow, ice and low adherence surface (mud undergrowth, foliage, etc.).
Designed and tested to meet the needs of light mountaineering and outdoor running. Thanks to the three crampons plates, they guarantee always a perfect control on ice and hard snow. Also suitable for running training on dry, wet or muddy grassland, and for outdoor winter running. Excellent for outdoor running, light mountaineering and trekking.
Our Verdict
The Nortec Nordic 2.4 is a well-made micro crampon for mixed winter terrain. The Medium pair weighs 263g. Its stainless steel plates and 8 mm spikes provide effective grip on hard snow, ice and frozen ground, with the twisted chain layout helping maintain stability. I have found the silicone elastomer holds securely across different footwear, including lighter walking shoes, and stays flexible without deforming them.
Fit is straightforward, and slipping them on or off when conditions change is fast. The toe hoop gives added confidence on steeper sections, while the replaceable elastomer connection is a sensible long-term detail. They feel comfortable underfoot for walking, and the two internal plates help spread the load evenly. For everyday winter hiking and trekking where ice patches and packed snow are standard, the Nordic 2.4 performs reliably and are easy to carry.
