Our Verdict
Leki's Makalu Series Trekking Poles are the workhorse of the LEKI Trekking and Mountaineering ranges, this particular pair are a combination of folding poles and Lever Locking poles, this means thay can be packed down to a very short length - in this case 40cm - which is great for travelling.
We especially like the rubberised top of the handle because thats where the palm of your hand goes when you are descending, it feels really positive. The rest of the handle is good too with the foam grip extending down the shaft, especially useful for steep ascents.
