Our Verdict
The LIM Alpha Hooded Jacket is a super lightweight layer that is ideal for performing while on the move, due to its high level of breathability, and moisture wicking properties.
The Alpha Jacket uses Gore-Tex Infinuim Windstopper to create a wind resistant outer shell that will keep you warm even in the windiest conditions, but also allows any moisture build up inside to escape. Which made it the perfect companion for cold morning runs or walks into hillside crag as it kept the cold out but if felt no sweat patches in the usual places and it was great that I didn't have to be bold and start cold.
In terms of fit it wasn't the closest fit but as such a lightweight jacket it felt comfortable and provided a lot of room to move around in. The inner fleece is exceptionally comfortable and again feels light to allow for moisture wicking. This is definitely one of the lightest feeling insulated jackets that I have used.
The Alpha features, two meshed front pockets and a simple hood that has the same fleece lining as the rest of the jacket making it very comfortable.
