The Rab Latok Mountain Alpine Jacket is Rab's offering as an all-round Mountain jacket for winter mountaineering and ski touring that is highly durable and will protect you from anything the elements can throw at you.

Our Verdict
The Latok Mountain Alpine jacket is one of Rab's top end shells that is designed to cope with all the mountains can throw at it being both durable and breathable as well as protecting you from the elements with a Gore-Tex Pro shell membrane.
The Latok Mountain Alpine is the all-round mountain jacket from winter climbing to ski touring the 80 denier outer fabric there is a lot of protection so you can push your self on any adventure. The Use of the Pro shell offers you all the protection you could need from the elements if you are out in wetter conditions or strong winds, but still offers a decent level of breathability so you won't get too much moisture build up inside of the jacket.
The Latok Mountain Alpine has all the usual features including good sized front pockets, a chest pocket, inner pocket and ventilation zips under the arms to get extra air flow in when you are working hard on accents. The hood is adjustable so can easily fit a helmet or adjust smaller to get a better fit, via a toggle on the back and two adjustment tabs on the front.
The fit of the Latok is definitely on the larger side which is great if you want to fit some insulation layers underneath so makes a lot of sense for the mountains it is designed for, but for me as a slimmer frame I found a lot of bag in the material in the arms, so it is a jacket that I would be using more as a cold weather shell.
