The Bach Half Tent is an ultralight and versatile minimalist shelter designed for adventurers seeking a simple yet weather-resistant solo camping option. Its roof is made of siliconised Gorlyn 30D nylon, and the floor is made of bathtub-style 40D ripstop nylon, balancing impressive strength with minimal weight.
The key feature is the two-pole design, which elevates the roof off your sleeping bag, maximising airflow to reduce condensation buildup. Two large mesh vents further boost ventilation for a comfortable sleep in warmer conditions and do an excellent job of keeping condensation to a minimum, which is always a concern in a bivi.
Despite its minimalist construction, the Half Tent includes nice details like taped floor seams, colour-coded aluminium poles, a mesh door, internal gear storage, and multiple guy-out points for stability. It all packs down remarkably small.
At under 800g for the regular size, it provides a remarkable amount of protected space and livability for the weight. The large version adds more interior room while still keeping weight manageable.
Some may want more storm protection, but the Half Tent excels as an ultralight 3-season solo shelter focused on quick pitching, breathability and compact transportation. It's an impressively lightweight yet rugged little home away from home for minimalists who value ventilation and packability over luxury accommodations.
