Our Verdict
At 193g (Medium), the Guide Mitt offers an effective balance of insulation, weather protection and dexterity. The PrimaLoft fill and fibre pile lining retain warmth even when damp, while the DRILITE insert ensures reliable waterproofing.
The goatskin leather palm provides a solid grip and long-term durability, giving confidence when handling poles or axes. The fit feels snug and precise, though layering a thin liner can extend their comfort range.
The cuff design integrates neatly with most jacket sleeves, and the one-handed drawcord closure is easy to adjust.
For active winter use in mixed conditions, this mitt is a well-proven, hardwearing choice that prioritises function and reliability. It is an excellent option when you prefer a single, all-encompassing mitt rather than a layered glove system.
