The G4-20 Ultralight 42 Backpack by Gossamer Gear is the perfect companion for the minimalist hiker embarking on extended treks. Despite its lightweight construction, the G4-20 is exceptionally versatile, boasting many features that make it suitable for longer journeys. The pack features a spacious main compartment complemented by stretchy side and front pockets, ensuring easy access to essential gear on the go. Its adaptable nature is a key strength, with webbing on each side ideal for carrying an ultralight shell or gloves and larger drop pockets on each side ideally suited for water bottles and snacks. The remarkably deep front pocket is ideal for isolating items like dirty footprints from the rest of your gear.
Recently, the pack was upgraded with 70D Recycled Robic Nylon as its main material. Strategic reinforcements of 100D nylon have been added to enhance durability in high-wear areas like the seat, which also provides improved water resistance. Consistent with Gossamer Gear's "Take Less, Do More" ethos, the buckles, zips, and cords have been reevaluated, resulting in a lighter and more durable pack compared to the previous model.
