A lightweight sit mat using closed-cell foam, protected by mesh fabric, for use with the 2024 range of Gossamer Gear packs.

This upgraded Air Flow Sit Pad doubles as a back panel padding for our packs and an ultralight camp chair. Available in 3 sizes.
These are only compatible with our new Mariposa 60 and Gorilla 50 PVT packs. For your small size pack, you will need the 17" size. For your medium size pack, you will need the 19" size. For the large size pack, you will need the 21" size.
Designed specifically to be used in the pad pocket of any of our overnight backpacks. This multi-use feather-light pad will give structure to your pack, cushion your back and allow some air to circulate between you and the pack while keeping the pack body close to you. The SitLight can also be used to sit on in camp or during breaks, to lengthen your existing sleep pad or as a base for your pillow. The foam is amazingly light and strong for its density. The pads are tough, flexible and resilient, and exhibit good UV stability.
Our Verdict
The updated Air Flow SitLight Camp Seat is designed to be used with Gossamer Gears' new 2024 range of ultralight packs, such as the "Mariposa 60," "Gorilla 50," and "Kumo 36." (If you're uncertain about which version you have, please don't hesitate to contact our customer service team for clarification.) Unlike traditional sitmats, which are simply foam scraps from old mats, this seat provides more.
The seat promotes good ventilation and breathability, preventing you from overheating and providing comfort while on the trail. Additionally, it can be placed underneath your pillow to enhance its comfort and warmth.
Gossamer Gear claims that the seat is 2 cm thick, but we found it to be closer to 1.4 cm thick. Nevertheless, it still offers the necessary comfort.
