We've taken our popular Ferrosi fabric, known for its stretchy comfort, recycled content, and breathability, and added DuraPrint® technology to create a durable 3D-printed barrier in high-wear areas: the shoulders and elbows. Duraprint on the shoulders protects from excessive wear when carrying a pack, and the elbow placement protects when bushwacking on overgrown trails and cross-country routes or scaling technical off-width pitches. The adjustable hood fits perfectly over a climbing helmet, and the zippered chest and hand pockets store essentials securely. The Ferrosi DuraPrint Hoodie from Outdoor Research is a versatile and durable layer for rugged mountain adventures. Built from OR's stretchy, breathable Ferrosi woven ripstop fabric, it offers excellent moisture management and freedom of movement.
What sets this hoodie apart is the strategically placed DuraPrint reinforcement technology. The 3D-printed shoulder and elbow panels add abrasion resistance in high-wear areas, increasing longevity whether bushwhacking trails or stemming off-widths.
Other well-designed features include an adjustable climbing helmet-compatible hood, deep zippered chest pocket, hand pockets and low-profile elastic cuffs. The lightweight, wind/water-resistant construction makes it a great outer layer for mixed conditions.
While not an ultra-minimalist piece at 346-401g, the Ferrosi DuraPrint offers impressive versatility and durability for its weight. It excels as a cool-weather baselayer, active insulation piece or even a minimalist shell in a pinch.
