The Rab Evolute Hoody is a remarkable upgrade to your layering system for intense activities, offering exceptional moisture control and optimal temperature regulation capabilities. This mid-layer balances warmth and breathability, making it ideal for challenging ascents in unpredictable conditions. The PrimaLoft® Evolve Active Insulation is the real star, adapting to your activity level to ensure you stay comfortable without overheating.
The Motiv™ Aero outer fabric is lightweight and treated with odour control, which is a nice touch for multi-day hikes or climbs. It feels soft against the skin, and the flatlock seam construction adds to the overall comfort, reducing the risk of chafing when layered. The under-helmet hood is another thoughtful feature, fitting snugly without being restrictive, which is excellent for when the weather turns.
Two zipped mesh pockets provide secure storage and help with heat management, allowing excess warmth to escape when pushing hard. The elasticated cuffs and hem keep the hoody in place, even during more vigorous activities.
In terms of fit, the Evolute Hoody has a regular cut that works well over a base layer without feeling bulky. It’s light enough to pack away when not needed but offers enough insulation to keep the chill at bay when the temperature drops.
