Our Verdict
An old hand at creating well-made and functional water-carrying systems. The Eddy is a “Flip, Bite, Sip” water bottle which is completely leak and spill-proof. The lid is removable, making cleaning the Chute easy.
CamelBak has teamed up with LifeStraw to incorporate a LifeStraw filter into the Eddy, and this makes for a very simple, easy refill if you are passing by streams or other water sources. The filter has two stages of filtration, your standard Hollow Fibre Filter, which most of us will be familiar with and an Ion Exchange Filter, which removes funky tastes and bad odours. Unfortunately, neither the hollow filter nor the ion exchange can be back flushed and replaced when the flow rate slows.
