Lightweight, stable, and biodegradable, Liteway’s Delta Pegs are a solid choice for eco-conscious backpackers.
Liteway says:
DELTA PEGS – are renewed, versatile, lightweight pegs made from PLA for shelter guylines.
PLA (Polylactic acid) - a plant-based polyester. PLA is biologically degradable. The material is made from corn, sugar cane, or sugar beet. Set of 8 pegs. Three edges prevent the peg from scrolling. This makes it easier, faster and more reliable to set up the shelter. Triangular pegs also work effectively in loose soil.
Not suitable for rocky ground.
Suitable for air travel with hand luggage (depends on airline's rules).
Our Verdict
The Liteway Delta Pegs offers a lightweight, eco-friendly solution for securing shelters. Made from biodegradable PLA—a plant-based polyester derived from sources like corn or sugar cane—these pegs are durable and environmentally conscious. They're easy to pack at only 9g per peg, and their unique triangular shape provides a stable hold in soft soil, preventing rotation and helping secure guylines more effectively.
While they excel on softer ground, it’s worth noting that they’re not suited to rocky or compact terrain, so plan accordingly. The set of eight pegs are an excellent option for those looking to lighten their gear without compromising setup reliability.
