This pack is built for the hiking trails. We've boiled down our ultralight multi-day pack knowledge into a day hiking pack. Utilizing the iconic Granite Gear arch system to anchor your pack down, the weight is distributed to a thin frame sheet and down to the hip-hugging webbing waist belt. It's a 22-Liter pack, ready to carry all you'd need for the day- and then some, with added volume in the external stretch woven side pockets and large front pocket with an overlapping cord system.
Our Verdict
Granite Gear's Dagger 22 Litre Rucksack is a tough day pack that brings comfort and practicality to a versatile piece of kit. The main compartment has a hydration sleeve and is where you'll find the majority of the 22L storage capacity. There is a handy little top pocket with a zip, two stretch mesh side pockets and a bungee compression strap for stowing extra gear. The pack is made with seriously durable 100D and 210D fabrics so you can be confident it will take bumps, scrapes and heavy use in its stride.
There is enough padding in the back and shoulder straps to keep you comfortable when it's full. There is a removable plastic back panel which does a good job of providing structure and protection when you've got a heavier load. This is coupled with classic adjustable straps on the shoulders and waist for dialing in personalised comfort.
