Our Verdict
The highlight is the Cross Shark grip system—a glove-style strap that clicks directly into the handle. It’s intuitive and excellent for efficient power transfer. The foam grip extension is well positioned for quick hand shifts on steep climbs or side slopes, and the overall handling feels responsive and precise.
The carbon shaft is stiff and well-balanced, and the Speed Lock 2 adjustment feels solid and secure enough to use these poles to pitch a trekking pole shelter.
These poles strike an excellent balance between weight, control and adaptability for fast-moving hikers and mountain runners.
