Our Verdict
The Crocodile Mid-Height Gaiters compress everything I appreciated in the full-length version into a lighter, more agile format. They shed bulk without compromising protection, and the updated cut fits neatly around modern boots without bunching or gaps. The ePE GORE-TEX fabric breathes well on climbs, and the Cordura-reinforced lower sections shrug off rock and brush without a fuss. The replaceable TPU instep strap is just as reassuring—easy to adjust, and a smart upgrade for longer trips.
Build quality remains excellent across the board—tough fabrics, clean stitching, and no loose ends. While I still find the Velcro a weak point in wet, muddy conditions, these mid-height gaiters feel like a smart, streamlined take on a proven design.
