Our Verdict
The Outdoor Research Crescent Fleece Beanie delivers balanced warmth and moisture control for active use in cold conditions.. The merino and recycled polyester blend manages sweat efficiently and remains comfortable against the skin during continuous movement. Drying time is short, and the material retains shape after repeated compression in a pocket or pack.
The close cut sits cleanly under helmets and hoods, flat seams minimise pressure points and irritation during extended wear. This is a dependable layer I will bring on any winter trip: light, packable, breathable and warm. It will live in my hip belt pocket till summer.
