The Ten is an adaptable tent with many configurations. It protects against bad weather, has easy setup, and features designed for winter use, like glove-friendly toggles and large buckles. The two large vestibules offer ample storage, and the tent feels spacious inside.

Our Verdict
An adjustable and versatile tent, the Ten can be configured in many ways. For a light and breezy pitch with lots of ventilation, the tent can be “battened down” to protect you from the worst the weather can throw at you.
As you would expect from anything in the Copper Spur family, the setup is easy and intuitive, though it is an inner pitch first if you have concerns about it. A fly vent opening at the top helps prevent condensation, and the guy out points located low at the foot and the head end of the tent promotes better airflow, again reducing condensation. Dual, equalised Dyneema guylines have been designed to evenly spread pressure caused by high winds evenly evenly, giving a stable pitch.
Big Agnes has put a lot of thought into how user-friendly this tent is, specifically for use in winter. Large oversized, glove-friendly toggles, large buckles, and Quick Stash doorkeepers have all been designed to use one-handed and with gloves on.
The two huge vestibules provide ample storage for you and a partner’s gear. The interior of the tent feels spacious, and I never felt claustrophobic. Inside the tent, two large mesh “windows” on the doors can be rolled back to increase airflow. A mesh window located in the ceiling also aids in air flow if unzipped, but I found it suitable as an additional gear pocket.

Construction & Materials
- Fly is Dominico® undyed polyester ripstop made with high tenacity yarns which increase tear strength by 20-25% over standard nylon or polyester ripstop fabrics. Also provides high UV resistance and stability during temperature and moisture fluctuations, allowing for a solid and stable pitched tent
- Fly is silicone-treated with 1200mm waterproof polyurethane coating plus an additional coating on the face of the fabric to increase tear strength and UV resistance
- Floor is nylon taffeta with a 10,000mm waterproof polyurethane coating
- Tent body is nylon ripstop breathable and polyester mesh
- The material uses a unique pigment dye coloring process that resists fading and increases UV resistance; extending the longevity of the fabric when used in high altitude conditions.
