Our Verdict
The Cocoon Compression Shoe Sack is a simple but well-thought-out way to stash muddy or wet footwear. The TPU-laminated fabric does a solid job of containing mess and is easy to wipe clean after use. The compression straps and Velcro closure let you cinch the bag down, which helps when packing it into tighter spaces. I also found the drawcord and hanging loop handy for airing things out once you’ve reached camp or your accommodation.
At 80g, something I’d carry on an ultralight push for travel or mixed trips where you want to keep trail shoes separate from dry gear, it’s a useful bit of kit. Fits a pair of shoes or sandals with room to spare, depending on the size and style.
