After a day in climbing shoes, mountaineering boots, or ski boots, the Cirrus Hut Boots offer a soft, warm cocoon to worn out feet. Keeping you toasty to the tips of your toes, they extend up around the ankle and are perfect for use in mountain huts, draughty bothies, or just for relaxing at home on winter’s night by the fire.
The Cirrus Hut Boots are filled with PrimaLoft® Silver Insulation Luxe, a synthetic insulation made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottle chips. They have a recycled nylon lining and a breathable and weather resistant recycled Pertex® Quantum outer. The lower edge of the boot is reinforced with tough nylon with a cushioned EVA foam footbed and a flexible, non-slip sole.
Our Verdict
Rab's Cirrus Hut Boots are the big brother to the Cirrus Slippers. They provide over the ankle coverage and are a lot warmer than the slipper version.
These boots take a bit more care and balance to get on than the slippers but they are super warm all the way up past your ankles. They soles are made with tough nylon and grippy silicone so they are durable and practical. Internally the soles are super soft and comfy but I don't know how long they'd stay that way as the padding feels like it squashes down a bit after your first use and it doesn't expand quite the it's fullest again. Otherwise they are really comfortable to wear around camp or even around the house.
